| "I have tried two flavors of Dymatize Elite Whey (Choco. fudge and Butter Cream Toffee) and both were awful. They have a chemical after taste that I distinctly recall from the protein shakes I used to drink years ago (around '03 or '04). Most companies have greatly improved since then with respect to flavor. I realize Dymatize is cheap, but you can order All The Whey brand protein at this site for the same price, and get a protein that has much better flavor (much), 13 less calories per scoop, though about 4 less grams of protein (which I think is negligible considering you're probably having 4-6 scoops a day). I don't doubt the product works, but it's so behind in the flavor department (and frankly, 117 calories per scoop is WAY too much) that it doesn't merit more than two stars. Not even for the price, which is largely a product of Cheapuksupplements.com's business model, not Dymatize's ability to control cost. If you like the price, thank Cheapuksupplements for that, but All The Whey is a better option at this price point, especially considering you'll likely be drinking a lot of these shakes and on a regular basis." | |

However, Chuks' special offer was too good to pass-up! I thought I'd had both these flavours before, but I certainly don't remember the Banana tasting so bad! It's really not particularly pleasant, with a nasty chemical aftertaste. However, the Chocolate Fudge is lovely! Flavour-wise I'd give Chocolate Fudge 5 stars and Smooth Banana 3 (and that's being slightly generous). | "Having got some Berry Blast flavour from a friend, I found it had too much of a chalky aftertaste which could only be masked with flavoured milk (WAY too dear). Choc Mint is far more palatable with normal milk and has much less of a chemical finish. It mixes very well indeed, even by hand, and only needs the odd nudge during drinking to keep it suspended. Even in whole milk there's no bellyache or anything - I have 1.5 scoops in 300ml post-workout and 0.5 in 100ml before I go to bed. I can't comment on its flavour with water, though. Mixes well, taste is at least in the same street as it claims to be, and brilliant value." | |

| "I've been using dymatize whey for around 3months now. I tried it after trying many other protein powders. This stuff just tastes great, has a little artificial taste, but beyond that its soo much better than any whey i've tasted. Mixability is also excellent, easily mixes with a fork, best mixed in a shaker. I also mix with milk as a bedtime protein dose, and its great. I found it a bit thick when mixed with milk alone, so i do 50% milk 50% water and its just awesome. Finally the results, i now use elite as my primary suppliment. within the 3months i've been using it i've noticed great gains both strength and size. I highly recommend trying this if like me your fed up with bad tasting protein at premium prices." | |
